Recent coverage highlights the launch of BEVerify, a new registry developed by BEClimate in partnership with Xpansiv and supported by Quidos, aimed at bringing faster and more transparent carbon market access to the built environment.
The platform focuses on enabling near real-time verification of emissions reductions through digital monitoring and AI-driven processes. By significantly reducing the time between emissions reduction and credit issuance — from months to minutes — BEVerify introduces a more efficient pathway for project developers and asset owners to participate in carbon markets.
This approach is designed to help unlock investment into building decarbonisation projects, which have historically faced funding challenges due to long payback periods and limited access to carbon finance.
BEVerify supports a wide range of assets, including schools, care homes, commercial and residential buildings, and public infrastructure. Each project is backed by a complete digital audit trail, ensuring transparency and traceability throughout the verification and issuance process.
The registry is also aligned with broader carbon market infrastructure, leveraging Xpansiv’s technology and supporting integration with emerging compliance frameworks such as Article 6 and CORSIA.
As the built environment accounts for a significant share of global emissions, the ability to deliver faster, data-driven verification could play an important role in scaling decarbonisation efforts and improving access to carbon finance across the sector.
